1925 - 

Viktor Vorobev was born in Kazan, Tataria Province, Russia in 1925.  He studied at the Kazan Art College from 1946 until his graduation in 1950.  That same year, he was accepted into the prestigious Repin Art Institute in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg).  Following his graduation in 1956, Vorobev accepted a teaching job at the Railway Workers’ Art Studio in Bryansk, where he worked for a number of years.

 Vorobev was accepted into the Union of Russian Artists in 1961, earning him the title of “official artist of the USSR”.  He began exhibiting in 1956 and he participated in many local, regional and republic exhibition throughout the Soviet years.
