Dmitri Podobedov was born in the Southern Ukraine in 1971. He attended art school as a boy in Kherson, Ukraine.
Podobedov attended the Simferopol Art College on the Crimean coast of the Southern Ukraine where he studied under noted impressionist masters, Lev Balkind and Valentin Bernadski. He graduated from the College in 1998.
Podebedov is best known for his loose brushwork and skilled compositions. He most-often paints still lifes, figurative and scenes from around the Black Sea.
He lives and works in Ukraine today.
