Born in Kharkov, where he lives and works. Early in life, he was attracted to painting as a career. His determination allowed him to obtain two art degrees. In 2002, he graduated from Kharkov Art College. He was then admitted to the Painting Department of Kharkov State Academy of Art and Design, where he continues his education in the Portrait Studio. His professors are well-known artists, V.N.Chaus and V.L. Ganotsky. Eshaliev draws his inspiration from the works of the 19th and 20th century Soviet painters, who were trained in realistic art traditions.
Eshaliev works primarily in plein-air, considering such experience to be important for a realistic painter. His paintings radiate amazing energy and are full of sunshine that have a distinctly different feel to the subject. He works in different themes, but especially likes landscapes, still life, and portraits. He considers the world to be dynamic and ever changing, and offers subjects the ability to interact with the surroundings—bright sun and light, air flow and wind gusts, midday heat and evening cool. He is not afraid to experiment with light and mood to enhance the beauty of nature.
Eshaliev devotes his painting to the impressive Crimea landscape. One can physically feel the pulse of light and air flow in them. His Crimea landscapes radiate in color and at the time are logical in composition. As new construction emerges, the work of the artist depicts the winding streets of the old mountain village, a wave breaking against the shore cliffs, and white stones of the Crimea grasslands.
Eshaliev has participated in numerous Republican exhibitions in Kharkov and Kiev. The last one was “Goriachaya Zima” an exhibition in “Akademia” gallery which was devoted to the unique Crimean landscape.
