Pavel Georgievich Markov studied at the 1905 Art College. He began exhibiting in the late 1930's .
He was well-known for his still life paintings. He worked as a monumentalist painter, as well, along with E.E. Lansere on murals at the Kazan Station.
He was the brother of Aleksandr G. Markov, a fellow painter.
He is listed on page 200 of Matthew Bown's, A Dictionary of Twentieth Century Russian and Soviet Painters.
