Piotr Filippovich Alberti was born 25 November, 1913, in Astrakhan city, Russia, on the Volga River.
In 1931 Piotr he graduated from the Astrakhan Art School where he studied under Pavel Vlasov.
In 1935-1936 he studied at the Repin Institute of Arts in Leningrad.
He began exhibiting in 1938.
He painted portraits, still lifes, landscapes, genre scenes and etudes from nature.
Alberti was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists from 1956.
Alberti Piotr Filippovich died in Saint Petersburg in 1994.
His paintings reside in art museums and private collections in Russia, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Japan, the U.S., the United Kingdom and throughout the world.
He is listed on page 8 of Matthew Bown’s, A Dictionary of Twentieth Century Russian and Soviet Painters.
